PROFESSIONAL DUET CATEGORIES / EDM Boys & Girls

・PROFESSIONAL: (15-18 years old ) category EDM1

If an ensemble includes participants of different age groups.the ensemble will be assigned to the age category corresponding to the majority of participants.

POINTE WORK：Up to age 14, participants may choose to perform en pointe or in ballet shoes.

Pointe work is optional.

CLASSICAL VARIATION REPERTOIRE：

Participants are free to choose any classical ballet variation from the traditional classical repertoire.

There are no restrictions on the choice of variation. Participants may perform a variation from any classical ballet, regardless of the original role, character, or production.

The selected variation should be appropriate for the participant’s age category and technical level.

Variations may be performed in their original choreography or in a recognized adaptation, provided that the choreography remains within the classical ballet tradition.

Participants are responsible for providing their own music recording for the chosen variation.

Grand Ballet Competition encourages dancers to choose a variation that best represents their individual artistry, technique, musicality, and stage presence.

SCHEDULE & PROGRAM: The competition schedule and program, pass card will be sent to your registered email address two weeks before the competition. Please make sure your email address are correct. If you have any questions, contact us at our official email address.

MUSIC CD：Each participant must bring two identical CDs, with one track only on each CD.Each CD must be clearly labeled with the participants name and competition number.

MUSIC TIME LIMITS：

CLASSICAL & NEOCLASSICAL VARIATION: up to 3 minutes

CONTEMPOPARY: up to 4 minutes

ENSEMBLE: up to 5 minutes

PROFESSIONAL DUET: up to 15 minutes

1 Solo Category Classical/Neoclassical/ Contemporary : $ 250

2 Solo Category: $ 400

Duet: $ 500 per duet

Ensemble: $ 150 per participant

Disclosure to Third Parties

GBC will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without the individual’s consent, except in the following cases:

When the individual has given consent
When disclosure is necessary to provide services or perform administrative work related to the competition and the information is provided to a service provider or contractor acting on behalf of GBC
When disclosure is required by law or requested by a court, police, or other authorized governmental institution
GBC will take appropriate measures to ensure that any third party handling personal information on behalf of GBC manages such information appropriately.

Access, Correction, Deletion, and Suspension of Use

If you wish to review, correct, add to, delete, or request the suspension of use of your personal information held by GBC, please contact us.

Cancellation, Transfer and Refund Policy

Participant Cancellation / Transfer

If a participant is unable to participate in the competition after completing the registration and paying the registration fee due to illness, injury, or other circumstances beyond the participant’s control, Grand Ballet Competition offers the option to transfer the participant’s registration to the nearest upcoming Grand Ballet Competition held in another state, subject to the competition schedule and available space.

The registration fee already paid will be fully transferred to the new competition without any additional registration fee.

The transfer must be requested before the competition date. Registration fees are non-refundable in cases where the participant is unable to attend, except as otherwise provided in this policy.

Competition Cancellation by Grand Ballet Competition

If a competition is cancelled or cannot be held due to circumstances beyond the control of Grand Ballet Competition, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, wildfires, earthquakes, floods, natural disasters, venue-related issues, technical problems, or other unforeseen circumstances, the full registration fee paid by the participant will be refunded.

In the event of cancellation by Grand Ballet Competition, participants will be notified as soon as reasonably possible, and refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible.

Grand Ballet Competition reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the competition schedule, venue, or format when necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
